Raghu Nandan Chilukuri is a Lead Software Engineer with a focus on Machine Learning at airtel X Labs. He is currently working on developing deep learning solutions for end-to-end Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) in multiple languages to engage millions of customers. With almost 8 years of relevant experience, Raghu is an engineer with a keen interest in applied mathematics and programming, and he likes to solve problems using mathematics whenever possible. Raghu's work in machine learning and deep learning has been particularly fascinating to him, and he enjoys exploring probabilistic programming and functional programming. Previously, Raghu worked as a Senior Software Engineer (Machine Learning) at airtel, where he worked on problems on an "India scale" using machine learning and deep learning. He was also involved in developing an end-to-end OCR engine that serves about 300k requests a day. Currently, he is working on developing ASR for speech-to-text for multiple languages to engage mobile and internet users. Raghu's education background includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, which he completed in 2014, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from BITS, which he completed in 2010.
